Chi-weenie

noun. a mix
between a
chihuahua and a
dachshund.

We went in Petco to get some dog food for our happy little chihuahuas...

and came out with a 10-week-old chi-weenie!!
She was the last one left for adoption and we just could not resist.
We love puppies over here.

She looks more like a dachshund than a chihuahua.
One of her sisters was more chihuahua.
No, not her. She's got the BIG EARS!

She fits right in with our puppies,
but our poor nervous Cooper is stressed out.
He'll lighten up!

What on earth should we name her? LOL

The Eyes of Texas Are Upon You

Every year we have a family reunion.
And every year it seems to land on the Texas/ OU game day.
I wonder if the football players realize there is a whole room full of people singing the Texas Fight song somewhere.
Cause there is.

My family is pretty serious about this burnt orange stuff.

My grandma is the
matriarch and ringleader.
Officially.

You should see this woman decked out from head to toe.
We are talkin' earrings, two bracelets, necklace, BLING,
The works.
Orange socks. Orange purse.
...You heard me.

My Auntie Anne is second in command to Grandma.
She posted this on her facebook.

With cousins :)

ALSO, I baked something for the event! Yes, me!
A friend I made at the Taylor Swift concert posted a
Blueberry Clafoutis recipe.
AKA Blueberry flan.
I reposted it and everyone demanded it.
But WOW, everyone LOVED it and I'm so happy.
PROOF:

And better yet, Texas won so we're all good.

I can't helping picturing

1. Reading
Okay, so I just finished The Hunger Games
the other night and was like,"whaaaaatttttt"
Literally. Out loud.
But that's for another blog post.
All you need to know is I went out
and bought the second one the day after.
And I love Katniss and PEETA, of courz.
This girl is fierce.

2. Halloween
For some reason, I'm so excited it's October.
I don't know why. Usually, I don't really even like it LOL
(because ppl get dressed up
MEAN GIRLS Style and act a fool)

BUT...

My big sis gave me this and now I'm all for it :)

3. Argyle Sweaters
LOL, my mom bought us all matching argyle sweaters.
It's sooo funny! I feel like Ron Weasley in Harry Potter.
We had to take a picture like this.
Hilar!

4. So... you sparkle?
Haha, Edward, you look silly right about
now next to Vampire Bill.
But I think New Moon is going to be so good!
And I might switch "Teams" because Taylor Lautner.
Oops, I said that out loud.
We shall see!

What do you like to do on Halloween?

Fearless Tour

So the Taylor Swift concert in Dallas HAPPENED!
The rumors are true!

Everyone who knows me knows that
I'm Taylor Swift's #1 fan (at least in San Antonio :)
So you can imagine...

1. Superstar Status
Really, I felt like a superstar...
because I had a floor seat! (ROW 6 are you crazy?!)
I walked all the way down to the floor and two security guards
reached for both my arms and semi- lifted me over some steps.
Total "Princess" moment... omg lol. But really.

(in front of the stage!)

2. We = Funniest People in the World
And by we, I mean Julia.
The 5 hour drive was ridiculous. It didn't even seem long.
I don't know, laughed so hard we cried on the way up.
Seriously, we thought we were hilarious.

Julia making me laugh.

3. Of course, the concert was amazing.
I have to admit, I knew about a lot (SPOILERS, I couldn't resist),
but the small things I didn't know about really made me happy.
Those ended up being my favorites.

And yes, I was singing the entire time.
:)

Here are some pictures!

Aren't these amazing?!?

4. Okay, I have to tell you something.
Some little kids rushed the stage.
And one started booty dancing
on T-Swift during one of her numbers.
You heard me.
Booty Dancing. :(
UM........... NOT COOL!
Serious breach of security.
"IT BAD"

5. TWITTER TALK!
Amos, (Taylor's bass player),
who I think is the funniest person on the planet,
tweeted me that he was gonna have to steal a pic
that I posted of him on twitpic.

He loves it and
I hope he profile pics it.
"Ain't no thing"

Thank you to my friend Miranda for letting me and Julia
stay with her in Dallas the rest of the weekend.
Ahhh, it was a delirious, good, old-fashioned fun time ;)
